Balaton.
- Budapest Farewell Festival - During June
Masquerade parades, pop concerts, street balls, marking the day when the
last Russian soldier left Hungary (1991).
- BudaFest in Budapest - During August
Opera and ballet, including Aida, Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet and a
premiere of a ballet set to the Concerto by Hungary's own Bartók.

Busojaras is Hungary's largest carnival and procession: in Mohacs, on
the last Sunday, mummers parade through the town wearing exotically
carved animal masks with horns, whirling clappers and shaking bells.

resurrection mass and procession, followed by full program of events at
the open-air theater in Paloc village northeast of Budapest.
