Bosnia & Herzegovina - Obtaining a visa

BiH entry visa shall be issued by diplomatic/consular offices of Bosnia and Herzegovina abroad. Competent border service authorities may issue a visa if there are valid reasons for such an action.

You need the following documents:

•  One photograph.
•  Fees for visa issuance by diplomatic/consular offices:

Single entry-exit visa or transit visa: 31,00 EUR
Multiple entry-exit visa or transit visa up to 90 days: 57,00 EUR
Multiple entry-exit visa or transit visa over 90 days: 72,00 EUR

•  A letter or invitation:
  • For private visit, guarantee letter/invitation by a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, certified by the competent body.
  • For tourist visit, voucher of the tourist agency.
  • For business travel, business invitation by the partner from Bosnia and Herzegovina, certified by the competent economy chamber.
•  For certain countries, visa applicants shall also submit the evidence on possession of cash assets, as well as the evidence on negative HIV test.

The following nationals do NOT need a visa to enter the country:

Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malaysia, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Order Of Malta, Portugal, Qatar, Russian Federation, San Marino, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, USA, Vatican, Yugoslavia.

Holders of diplomatic passports: Poland, Ukraine, South Korea, Singapore.

Holders of diplomatic and official passports: Iran, China, Pakistan, Romania, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and UAE.

Holders of business-simple passports: China.
